Bath Road

Slough

Bath Road, Slough is an established office location within the heart of the Thames Valley, and over a number of years, Slough Estates assembled a 1.44 hectare (3.55 acre) trapezium-shaped site at 240 - 252 Bath Road which originally contained 8,826 sqm (net) of industrial accommodation in six buildings dating back from the 1940s and 1950s.

In order to maintain the original development density, three detached three-storey office buildings were arranged in a courtyard setting. 240 Bath Road comprises 2,826 sqm (net), 250 Bath Road comprises 1,863 sqm (net) and 252 Bath Road comprises 2,805 sqm (net)

The development was designed and constructed by Slough Estates’ in-house Construction Division. Specialist external partners were used for structural engineering, landscaping and services engineering expertise.

A consistent design philosophy emerges through the combination of reconstituted stone, glazed elevations and elegant columns. The combination of good materials, understated design and attractive workspace will stand the test of time. The materials and design compliment the Slough Estates Headquarters on the adjacent site.

The formal courtyard landscaping adds to a strong sense of place.

Based on a 6m and 9m structural grid with a 1.5m partitioning module, the interior of the buildings have been carefully designed to promote the best use of human and technical resources and to optimise space planning and office layout.
