The practice pioneered a B1/B2 building type to add to Slough Estates extensive letting property portfolio. In parallel with Slough Estates considerable commercial knowledge, all aspects of the construction process and design were reviewed and analyzed to achieve a balance between aesthetic considerations and crucially value for money, while maximizing net lettable areas. The new units needed to appeal to prospective tenants and provide a long-term high return on the client’s investment. A measure of this prototypes’ success is that is now replicated at other locations within the Slough Estates industrial park, being extended or reduced in plan to fit the different sites.
